Opportunities for Undergraduates

The University Press warmly welcomes undergraduate visitors and offers competitive internship opportunities for students interested in scholarly publishing.

There are a growing number of opportunities available for undergraduates interested in working at the Bucknell University Press and in learning about scholarly publishing more generally. The Press has recently introduced the Cynthia Fell Internship, a competitive, full-year academic internship for qualified sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in scholarly publishing. We have also been fortunate to welcome Presidential Fellows from across the University as members of our staff.

Students who work at the Press are immersed in a rich and energetic intellectual environment, where the support and production of interdisciplinary scholarly projects is our passion. Interns and fellows are able to assist the Director and Editorial staff of the Press in a variety of projects, including the design of advertisements and catalogs, communicating with and interviewing our distinguished authors, and collaborating on the marketing and display of our books. Students are a vital part of our office and integral to the continued success of the Press.
