Examination Copies

PLEASE DO NOT MAIL FORMS – we have no way of receiving them until Rutgers is re-opened.

Professors and instructors who wish to consider Rutgers University Press books for course use—and have not previously received the book requested—should complete the examination copy request form electronically: exam copy request form.

Fulfillment of requests for print examination copies will be delayed at this point in time and we urge you to consider a free electronic  copy instead of a print copy.

Rutgers University Press limits the number of exam copies an individual instructor can request to 4 per school year. Exam copies must be accompanied by a $10.00 shipping charge per book requested, are sent media mail, must be mailed to a school address, and take approximately 4 weeks to receive.  Please fill in all information requested on the exam copy request form and send the request by email or fax (our fax number is 732-745-4935).  Do not mail your request as Rutgers is closed.

If after 5 weeks, you have not received your exam copy, please email desk-exam@rutgersuniversitypress.org to check on your order. This email is only checked twice weekly so you may need to wait up to 72 hours to receive a response to your inquiry. Please note that requests received without payment for shipping are not processed.

If an electronic version of the book is acceptable for your use, we can arrange to send one on request. Bear in mind that the exam copy will probably be in PDF format and will expire after 30 days. There is no charge for the electronic exam copy.  Send your request (along with a copy of the exam copy request form) to: Brice Hammack (bhammack@rutgers.edu).
