Jasper Chang is the assistant to the editorial director and an acquiring editor for Asian American studies. As an assistant, he shepherd books through the editorial process for The Politics of Marriage and Gender series, Rutgers Series in Childhood Studies, Global Perspective on Aging series, Junctures in Women’s Leadership series, and Violence Against Women and Children series, while performing day-to-day administrative and operational tasks for the editorial director. As an acquiring editor, he seeks book proposals for the Asian American Studies Today series and in the field of Asian American studies and Asian studies. Prior to joining Rutgers University Press, Jasper worked in the licensing division at Hachette Book Group, a major trade publisher based in New York City.
