How can I find out more about a book?

If you know the author and/or title, or even part of the title, we suggest you start with the search page on the top right of this page. From there you can also browse our books by subject and series. Clicking on the title of a book will take you to that book’s main page. There you will find the jacket, reviews, author bios, as well as book descriptions and bibliographic data. When available, there will also be access to the table of contents, a sample chapter, related links, and other enhanced pages about the book.

How can I purchase a Rutgers University Press book?
To shop the Rutgers University Press website, choose a book using our advance search feature (by subject, title, author, series, etc) to find the book you want. Add the book to your shopping cart for online checkout. Rutgers University Press books are also available from your local bookseller.

Are my books shipped all at one time?
Books appear on our website for purchase up to 9 months before publication. They may be preordered at that point, however your credit card will not be charged until they are shipped. On occasion, books are shipped from alternate warehouses and may arrive separately.
